Cyber Monday Pink Ivory

Pink Ivory? Well it’s pink. Very pink. Barbie Pink. Pink Ivory was the sacred wood of the Zulu chiefs of South Africa. If was said that if anyone other than  Zulu royalty was found to posses the wood, they would be executed. At one time, it was said to be rarer than diamonds.   The wood grows in various parts of Africa, and takes hundreds of years to reach a size suitable to make a blank. It turns out however, that it is not quite as rare as we have been led to believe, and nowadays this extremely slow growing, and exceedingly hard wood is harvested with proper permits from the South African government to ensure a sustainable harvest for decades to come. Pink Ivory is one of the most valuable woods in the world, and as such it demands a high price. It’s beauty, density, rarity and smooth almost non existent grain, make it some of our most sought after dice. usually we only offer it in d6’s as getting a blank large enough for a d20 set is absurdly expensive, not to mention a bit hard to find. Typically these sets would go for just over $300 depending what I’d have to pay for the wood. But thanks to a lucky find in the grab bag box I bought on Black Friday, we are making 2 sets of polyhedral dice for just $200 per set.
