Time to Cast Your Vote

Assorted Burl Give AwaySo it’s time to vote! What are we voting for? To see who wins a 5d6 set of Zac’s awesome burl collection. To enter to win you needed to submit a photograph of your dice collection. From the roughly 100 entries we chose our favorite 6 photos. There are folks that have more exquisite collections, and those that have some rather gigantic collections, but we didn’t base this off of who have the best collection, or the most dice, but what photos we liked the best.  So now it’s your turn. Take a look at the photos below, choose your favorite, then vote in the poll at the bottom of the page.

Pirate Jarnes: Shot on 4×5 color film?! My inner photographer is pleased.

Danie Roy: Her collections is still sitting in my shop. So when she posted this meme, I couldn’t stop laughing. It’s too true. Especially seeing as how she owns one of the nicest collections of Artisan Dice around.

And here’s Danie’s Dice. They are finally all completed and ready to ship. With something extra she called dibs on a long time ago. She’s been waiting very patiently for us to get these to her. My apologies for the horrid photo. Still haven’t gotten the settings perfected on my new cell phone camera.

Count Marconious Comitatus: His dice are so cool they gotta wear shades.

Charlie, it’s really nice to have my art appreciated by another artist. I mostly make portraits, but this photograph really pushed me to return to large format last year. I’ve been shooting 4×5 color since.

got to love 4×5. though i haven’t shot film in half a dozen years or more. i do miss that tilt shift capabilities of a 4×5 or 8×10. if some one could figure out how to put that in a cell phone camera that would be great 🙂

I don’t know about cell phones, but there are dSLR lenses now that tilt. It’s pretty sexy. My field camera does front movements, but no back shift. That’s ok, though, as I photograph people and dice, not architecture.
