Artisan Dice is a seriously cool place to work. Our shop, though small, boasts a suite of toys like lasers, cnc mills, routers, and 3d printers; right along side more traditional tools like lathes, sanders, table and band saws that are the envy of would be minions across the globe.
We’re a tight knit bunch that works together all week long and then still gets together on the weekend for good food and great games. We have a ton of fun, but pair it with two tons of work. For us, it’s not a job, it’s a craft. We take pride in what we make, and good is never good enough. It’s in our nature to constantly improve, to push the envelope everyday. It’s what our customers have come to expect. And it’s how we make the best dice on the planet.
So what does it take to be a minion?
The minions like food, maybe a little too much, and all minions have the innate ability to grow facial hair of epic portions and manliness. (Even the women folk, minions are much like dwarves in that respect.) It takes a well honed sense of humor and a drive to be the best. Mediocrity is never acceptable. A strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. You can’t be afraid to work with your hands and get a little dirty. Oh and it helps to be located in Dallas, Texas. Otherwise, you might have one hell of a commute.
We’re always looking for minions to learn the craft. Every minion we hire starts out at the bottom since there is a ton of things to learn. That mean lots of on the job training. Currently we are looking for the following.
If you have an unhealthy obsession with exotic woods, like to work with your hands, and you don’t mind getting dirty then you just might make the perfect Apprentice Minion. We’re looking for someone with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. You’ll be working with CNC machines and wood working tools, so you’ll get bonus points if you are familiar with either of those.
