You can see them here set out to cure over night with a fresh coat of shellac. I promised every one a look as some finished sets as well. You can see them in the gallery below. I also threw in some photos of the routers we use to make the boxes and some other dice related things laying around the garage.
Next weekend I’m having a bunch of my friends over and we are going to completely remodel the garage to turn it in to a full on dice workshop. But for now I’m going to hit the sack. It’s been a supremely long day.
Thanks for a look behind the scenes. Cannot wait to get my hands on the finished dice. Great work!
Those are looking good! I can’t wait for mine to arrive.
Hi! I pledged to your Kickstarter via Erich’s account (so I can’t reply to the KS forum), but I just wanted to say that all of these look really fantastic! Seeing the wood waiting to be turned to dice brings a smile to my face.
@dennis – i’ll be posting updates like this on a regular basis, so stay tuned and following along as we make tons of dice!
@tim – thanks!
@rachel – yeah every time a new shipment arrives i’m like a kid at christmas time! the mail man even hangs around to see what type of wood came in.
140 down, about what, 5000 to go?
Best of luck!
some where north of 7000 to go actually. still don’t have a solid count as i’m waiting on the last the kickstarter surveys to come in.
wish i lived near you man and id come help you with your garage stuff
it’s turned in to a huge undertaking that’s for sure. just sold all my spare miata bits for a 6 pack of mike’s hard lemonade. had an entire spare drive train and front and rear sub frames tucked in to the corner, they had to go to make room for the cnc mill and laser cutter.
These look really good. Can’t wait to get mine. Been 16 days since this photo dump, you must still have a lot more to do
yup, i’ve got tons stuff to do and there’s only one of me currently. and i’m still waiting on the last of the tools to get here to do the walk though. the first orders have been shipped so i’m taking the next day or so to get the store online. then we’ll be back to making dice and finishing the garage conversion.
Can’t wait for you guys to perfect making Polyhedral sets! as soon as you do, I’ll be excited to pick up a set or two!
we’ve figured out how to make them. just need to get the speed up now!
