Description
This Hawaiian wood shimmers like gold. Koa is one of my favorite woods. It’s also the material of choice for the traditional Hawaiian ocean going canoes since Koa is the largest endemic tree in Hawaii. Nowadays sizable trees demand a high price since the easily accessible Koa forests are being cleared for cattle grazing. This wood may become more scarce as time goes on, but for now there is still plenty of Koa around and it is not on the CITES list nor is it expected to be in the near future as Koa trees grow over an inch in diameter a year. (If you are wondering, yes that is freakishly fast.)
Lady –
Is there a way to purchase a scribe box like the one listed on the now closed kick starter. I’m looking to get this as a gift. Thanks.
Chris –
Is this wood going to be in stock anytime soon?
Charlie Brumfield –
hoping to have some in the next month or so.
K3ahi –
Will this be made available again? If so, about when?
Charlie Brumfield –
we’ll be adding koa back to the site in the next couple of weeks.
